On entering the competition almost 25% of all employees had to answer an online questionaire to demonstrate how much they enjoy work and how they are treated. Connect came out top in the contract catering category.
It was announced that Connect had won the award at a presentation lunch in London. John Herring, Connect's Managing Director, was delighted and said:

Ambassador for Investor In People
John Herring, Connect’s MD, has been awarded the title of Ambassador for Investor in People. He will promote and support Investor in People by speaking at meetings and explaining the benefits that Connect have gained from following and achieving the Investor in People Standard.
John comment “I am very pleased to be an Ambassador, I believe the quality of the people you employ is an essential ingredient that you can never stop investing in … it’s the road to success.”
