Recently John Herring, Connect's Managing Director, was presented with the the nationally prestigous Contract Caterer of the Year Award at a 700 guest black tie event at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel.

Connect won this award for really looking after our staff, training and developing them. Making sure everyone is equipped and has the 'tools' to do the job. We are a listening company and we work with our staff to deliver a quality fresh food service with a smile. Connect ACHIEVES Ambassador STATUS
Connect Catering has been awarded Ambassador Status by Investor in People. John Herring, Managing Director, will be going out to share his success by speaking at events.
Connect not only manage full contract catering, but also purchasing, as well as a training division and consultancy. Our company policy is to ensure everybody has job satisfaction, translating into good customer service.
The recommendation as an Ambassador came after the 3 yearly review, carried out over 4 days by an IIP Assessor. During the review, the Assessor spoke to 45 of 300 plus employees and did not receive one negative remark. He was very impressed with Connect and commented, “There are many areas where Connect Catering demonstrates exemplary practice”. He recommended that we consider John becoming an Investor in People Ambassador. In becoming an Ambassador John commented, “I am very pleased, I believe the quality of the people you employ is an essential ingredient that you can never stop investing in … it’s the road to success.”
As an Ambassador, John Herring will promote and support Investor in People by speaking at meetings and explaining the benefits that Connect have gained from following and achieving the Investor in People Standard.
