  • 85% of company cars are hybrids or emissions below 120 grams of CO2/km.

  • Power usage is monitored and energy awareness is encouraged.
  • All customers are within a tight geographical area to ensure road use and pollution is minimised.

 

Customer Management

Using the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Award.  Connect ensures all customer feedback is managed in an effective manner.

 

Client’s of Connect are assured of a quick response to all issues and questions.  An open book policy is operated within Connect.  Meaning, that if a client has any concern over its service or charges, an audit of all Connect’s systems can be carried out without any difficulty.

 Supplier Management

  • Promote ethical purchasing.
  • Drive to promote careful ordering from sites to reduce invoices.
  • Campaigns to reduce the number of deliveries to each site.
  • The purchasing department is quick to resolve supply issues speedily.
  • Ensuring that fresh local  products are purchased where possible.
  • Ethically assured payment agreements with suppliers.

 

Connect’s Employee Responsibilities

  • Training is encouraged and supported, using both an extensive internal training programme and external agencies.
  • Non business related training (e.g. English language courses).
  • One to one debt counselling is available to all members of staff.
  • Hardship loans for those in need, with non interest repayments.

 

Local Community Impact

The local community is an important sector of Connect’s support.  Managing Director, John Herring, has constantly supported this sector, not only with financial assistance but also with time and advice.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
 
Connect Catering is a catering management company. Catering services are delivered at premises that are managed by our clients. This policy applies primarily to Connect Catering’s offices in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
 
We recognise that our activities interact with the environment and are committed to minimising adverse impacts and improving process efficiency. In particular, this will be achieved through our commitment to:
 
  • Comply with all applicable environmental legal requirements and other relevant requirements to which we subscribe.
  • Fully cooperate with any environmental initiatives or management systems operated by our clients on their sites.
  • Review the actual and potential impacts of all activities, including those affecting our local community.
  • Achieve continual improvement in environmental performance by understanding the relative importance of impacts, monitoring performance and setting appropriate objectives and targets.
  • Employ best practice to prevent pollution, minimise waste and maximise the efficient use of resources.
  • Identify and manage key risks and have arrangements in place to respond to all foreseeable accidents and emergencies.
  • Involve employees in our environmental programmes and provide training to enable them to discharge their duties.
Every employee has an individual responsibility to help meet the requirements of this policy.
